Chapter meeting dates/times:
e meet 4 times a year (January, April, July, September) on the third Wednesday of the month from 10am-3pm.

Chapter meetings are a great way to make professional contacts, network, discover new resources, and develop new skills.
Chapter program:
A segment of each meeting is dedicated to the introduction of members and non-members. We encourage all attendees to make
announcements about upcoming events, news related to the field, and job opportunities. After announcements, an educational training is presented.
Continuing education:
Each training provides a minimum of 1.5 pre-approved professional development hours (PDH).
Cost to attend meeting: Members - $20.00
Non-members - $30.00

Aligning EAP to Business Objectives
Member Appreciation Chapter Meeting
10-3pm
This four hour chapter training will be a combination presentation, round table discussion with guided questions and group presentations. The primary focus of the training will be a presentation of the current EAPA strategic plan goal 2 model presentation. This presentation will be an off the shelf training for EAPA members to present to primary stakeholders and purchasers of EAP services and the purpose of this specific training is to garner feedback from EAPA members on the strengths and weaknesses of the "model presentation". There will also be a presentation and discussion on how EAPs work with RFPs and how EAPs can influence the standard questions asked on proposals.
The second part of the training will focus on garnering other ideas about Aligning EAP to business objectives, discussion around evaluation and measurement in EA Programs, discussion of the CEAP and encouraging Affiliate Providers to become CEAPs, and the overall growth of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association. The overall goal of this training is the discussion and sharing of ideas in an effort to motivate and empower chapter members to talk to others about the importance of being involved in the EA profession. This chapter meeting is also the SC Chapters member appreciation meeting.
Objectives:
Attendees will provide feedback to the EAPA Strategic Plan Goal 2 model presentation
Attendees will share with others their ideas about the Alignment of EAP to business objectives
Attendees will discuss with others thoughts regarding building up Employee Assistance Programs and the Professional Association
Attendees will discuss strategic ideas on reaching out to other groups and associations
Lucy Henry. LPC, LMFT, CEAP has been an EA Professional since 1992 and a CEAP since 2001. She works full time for First Sun EAP in Columbia SC. Lucy has a passion for Employee Assistance and for helping work organizations. In her work with First Sun EAP she consults with work organizations to identify workplace behavioral risks and to mitigate those risks through formal workplace referrals. In doing this she works closely with a network of EAP Affiliate Providers.
Lucy has a passion of introducing core technology and EAP basics to these providers as well as encouraging and mentoring counselors to be involved in the EAP Association and in becoming CEAPs. Lucy is a past president of the SC EAPA chapter and is currently serving her second term as District 2 Director for EAPA. She is the EAPA Board Champion for the Strategic Plan goal 2.
